The Magic After Flowering ……
One of the fascinating moments in the vineyard is here. Following the flowering, the tiny fertilised flowers have now developed into what growers call the pea-sized berry stage. The vines are covered in hundreds of small, green berries, each no larger than a pea.
This is the beginning of this year’s grape crop. These tiny berries has the potential to become a grape that will contribute to make the wine. They are the foundation of the 2026 vintage.
The vines are directing their energy into cell division and berry growth. The number and size of these young berries will help determine the yield at harvest, although there is stil a long journey. Weather over the coming weeks will play a crucial role, influencing both the quantity and the quality of the fruit.
The vineyard is now a vibrant sea of lush green and we are looking forward to watching this vintage unfold.
Every year, we enter our newest wines into some of the world’s most respected wine competitions. This year, we were delighted to submit our newly released Cuvée Brut 2021 and our still wine, Rosé de Meunier 2025. As an added bonus, we also entered our Sparkling Rosé 2019, which was awarded a Silver Medal at the Decanter World Wine Awards. These awards give us even more confidence as we continue our journey of crafting elegant English wines that truly express our vineyard and each unique vintage.

We were delighted to welcome Oz & Tom’s English Wine Heroes, who recently tasted their way through our entire wine collection. We are absolutely thrilled with their comments and tasting notes, which beautifully capture the style and character of our wines.
The first video, featuring our Rosé de Meunier 2025, is now live on our Instagram page. We hope you’ll take a look and hear what they had to say.
With the warm summer weather finally here, there’s no better time to enjoy our Rosé de Meunier. Crafted from 100% Pinot Meunier, it is fresh, elegant and wonderfully refreshing – the perfect wine for sunny afternoons, garden parties and long summer evenings.
Tom & Oz’s tasting notes:
A bright, exuberant pale rosé with a wonderful push-and-pull of zingy, tart red berry fruit and fresh cream, finishing with hints of granola and raspberries.
To celebrate the season, our Rosé de Meunier 2025 is available for just £99 per case (6 bottles). Quantities are limited, so don’t miss the chance to enjoy this very special summer release.
London Wine Fair
We are delighted to have once again been featured in the London Wine Fair write-up by Victoria Daskal. It is always a wonderful honour to see our wines recognised alongside some of the best producers, and we are especially pleased that our Busi Jacobsohn Cuvée Brut was highlighted.
Recognition like this is a testament to the dedication and passion that goes into every bottle we produce, from caring for our vineyard in East Sussex to crafting wines that truly express our terroir.
A huge thank you to Victoria for including us once again. We are incredibly grateful for the continued support and are thrilled that our Cuvée Brut continues to make such a positive impression.

🥂 An English traditional method sparkling wine I’ve loved for years — elegant, gastronomic, and equally perfect with seafood, cheese, or even duck confit. @busijacobsohn
We simply had to share one more exciting piece of news. Ahead of the Norway vs England match, Norway’s most-read wine journalist, Ingvild Tennfjord, recommended Busi Jacobsohn as the English sparkling wine.
Now that’s good sportsmanship! Even with Norwegian hearts hoped for a home victory, think that Norwegians are very proud of their team making it all the way to quarter final and might still have raised a glass of English bubbles.
For a small, family-run English wine estate, this is a wonderful honour and another sign that English sparkling wine continues to gain recognition well beyond our shores.
To be recommended by one of Norway’s most respected wine voices is something we are incredibly proud of. Whether you’re celebrating a football victory, a summer gathering, or simply enjoying a glass with friends, we’re delighted that our wines continue to be chosen for life’s special moments.
We also congratulate the English Team for their victory in this game and wish them every luck to make it all the way in VM 2026
As July unfolds, the vineyard is thriving and every sunny day brings us one step closer to another exciting vintage.
Thank you for being part of our journey and for your continued support. Wishing you a wonderful summer, and don’t forget to celebrate it with a glass of English wine!
